Today's Good Fortune's
These were what I received and I immediately: texted my loved ones, agreed with the advice saying few profit from it and smiled at the energy for two because it is so true.
Have a happy day and when you get the opportunity to open a fortune cookie, take a gander at the fortune and see how accurate it is.

Watercolor Vignette & Photoshop Technique

The first image above is done in black ink + watercolor.
The lower image above, was edited in Photoshop in "colored pencil".
The images are of my sink/hair/make-up/shower station in my room. In a vignette, you are to fade the image into the background or rather, frame a section of the moment/place in time. Hence, the fading of my sink, rug, bed + hamper.
Christmas Break---In the Round
This was a sketch I worked on over Christmas Break. I wanted to practice drawing "in the round". There is always something new to draw + learn.
My New Window Seat

I drew this the day we received our new desk assignments. I was overjoyed by the fact that I was now a proud "owner" of a window seat where I could put my many inspiration decorations and make more workspace for myself at the desk.
I drew the Cayman Island's National Flag, my coffee mug from home, my fake, colorful flowers, a picture of my boyfriend and I at senior prom and my flex-figure.
Today was a great day for sketching.

My Keys

This drawing is definitely one of my stronger "just for kicks" drawings that I have done all semester. I really want to focus my attention at creating rounded objects look, well, round. So I thought that my rounded fob and rounded lanyard would be perfect for me to practice with. I was proud of my shading and accuracy. I want to continue to work hard and improving my drawing skills.
Butterfly Kisses
Back in 2007, my younger brother, David and I were attending church together and at the service the preacher mentioned that there would be butterflies for sale in the lobby to raise money for the health care for the children in Cambodia suffering from AIDS. David stood up and went to the "restroom" in the middle of the service and returned back with a colorful butterfly for me. It was so thoughtful of him to give me such a sentimental gift, I was so grateful for his giving heart. It hung in my room through my senior year of high school and I could not think of a better place to put it but at my studio desk along side his picture.
