Nature inspiration drawing
For our light project we were given the afternoon to grab a cup of joe and find some interesting nature. I decided to graphically enhance my nature drawings.

Today's Good Fortune's
These were what I received and I immediately: texted my loved ones, agreed with the advice saying few profit from it and smiled at the energy for two because it is so true.
Have a happy day and when you get the opportunity to open a fortune cookie, take a gander at the fortune and see how accurate it is.

Short Studio Update!
The latest project we are working on in studio revolves around the idea of abstracting a journey through our fairy tale we were assigned at the beginning of the semester. It has evolved into a black and white project. My first approach was to create black triangular forms with white triangular portions fitting into it. Now, we are to make three models further abstracting the first model that correlate with words we were given. Mine words are: Contrast, Symmetry and Balance.
Off to the drawing board! More updates to come!
12 Thumbnails of Julius I. Foust Building

The top ten images are views from the interior of the Julius I. Foust Building. The bottom two are the front exterior and the back, profile view of the building. I really wanted to give the building the relaxed, traditional and quiet feel that it exudes. Very few people were present when my group walked through the building, the few that were there were very quiet and busy at work in their offices or classrooms. This is the oldest and first building ever built on campus.

5 Favorite 5x5
[ Black + White Project ] Thumbnails

These are all apart of a 30 part thumbnail collection I created from my project done in Black + White. I created 29 black triangles out of black illustration board, a broken and refined skewer painted black, and white bond paper for my white sections. The purpose of the model was to create a mood that reflected the journey of our fairy tale done earlier in the semester. Then, draw 25 or more thumbnail sketches of various sections of this model.

Vignette's in Hickory

This weekend I got to spend with my IARC cubical buddy, Brittany in her home town, Hickory. I loved meeting her mom and brother, the home cooking, hanging out, going shopping, going to Ian's Show at a biker bar and sketching inside the mall.

Christmas Break---In the Round
This was a sketch I worked on over Christmas Break. I wanted to practice drawing "in the round". There is always something new to draw + learn.
